From Beginning To End - Quarter 2Sample
We begin to see some weakness in David in this chapter. He is quick to plan violence against Nabal, and he is beginning to collect wives. David’s lapses in judgment and weakness for women will not serve him well as king.
The Bible is unusual in that it tells the weaknesses of its heroes along with telling of the successes. This can be reassuring to those of us who aren’t perfect. We try to follow God, but sometimes fail to do everything we should. It doesn’t mean we should ignore our weaknesses, but it does mean God can still use us even when are weak.

About this Plan
This is part two of a four-part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one story from beginning to end of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
