"March Miracles"  

It’s not impossible to turn on an NCAA Tournament game and witness a half-court game-winning shot, a 3-point buzzer-beater from the corner, countless comebacks, and a 16-seed beating a tournament favorite. Anything can happen during March Madness—including miracles!

Duke’s Coach, Mike Krzyzewski, once described the tournament’s upsets and close games like this: “People always believe in miracles during this time, and they don't believe that they're ever out of it.” 

Coach K's words ring true. The underdogs think they can shock the top seeds, and every team seems to have faith they can come back, regardless of the deficit. Even as fans, we’re waiting to witness an epic game or a miraculous play. 

When it comes to our own lives, do we trust that God is powerful and still at work performing miracles or do we forget that the God of the Bible is the same God today? 

I believe that the power behind Jesus walking on water and feeding 5,000 people with five loaves of bread and two fish is the same power God uses today. If we’d just open our eyes and hearts to seek Him, we’d see that He still heals, provides, and changes hearts in miraculous ways.

In Mark 9:17-23, Jesus asks a father how long his son has been possessed by a spirit that makes him unable to speak. The man tells Jesus, “’It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.’ Jesus then replies, “’If you can? Everything is possible for one who believes.’” 

We all need to drop the “if you can” out of our prayer lives. Of course, God can! But we must trust He’ll do what’s best according to His will and for His glory, and truly believe He can do the unimaginable. 

Today, let’s be reminded of God’s remarkable power at work in and around us, as well as, the amazing miracle of being alive right now! I’m Bryce Johnson and you can UNPACK that!
 

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me enough to answer my prayers according to Your will. Help me trust and believe in Your power. I know You can do and have done miraculous things in and around me. Help me to seek You first. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
