Life of Influence
What is your story?
Look at your shirt. If you will look closely, it is likely composed of individual strands woven together. Your life is like a single strand, and it is interwoven with God’s story and the stories of those around you. When you invite God into your life-your story-your strand, is changed forever. God births a light in you that shines to all of those whose story intersects with yours. This light is the truth of God’s love and care. As you grow in your faith the light also begins to grow. Jesus asks us to “let this light shine,” meaning we must allow others to see and hear about what God is doing in our lives. Your story can bring hope, healing, and faith.
Share your light!
You are on this earth to influence others with God’s story in your life! What has God brought you out of? How has your life changed? What has God spoken to you? Where is He leading you? How have you experienced God? You don’t have to have all the answers to share with others. God wants to use your story, right now, to influence others. What He has done for you, He can do for them too. God has called YOU to a life of influence. God is weaving a story of influence through you. Who are you influencing?
Challenge:
- WRITE YOUR STORY! Take a few minutes and write down your story. What is God doing in your life? How did you accept Christ? How has God changed your life? How have you experienced God?
- REFLECT! Take a minute to pray about your story. What is God teaching you? How might God use your story to change another person’s life?
- SHARE YOUR STORY! Tell someone your story! Send a message to your pastor or share it with a friend or family member.
