Day 8 - Spoken into the Atmosphere

When I attended my first "Colour Conference" at Hillsong Church, something was awakened inside of me while worshipping to a song called “Awakening.” It was like something completely shifted inside of me, and I wasn’t the same person. Something had awakened, and honestly, I had never felt so alive since the day of my salvation. I couldn’t put it into words, but God was definitely making a shift in my life, and He was calling me. God was trying to get my attention, and He wanted to put these women, Lisa Bevere and Bobbie Houston, in my life. God wanted me to see something that they were doing, and what they were doing was leading women to Jesus.

God is showing you that NOW, today, not tomorrow, but NOW is the time to rise up. It is through His mighty power in you that you will accomplish all of the things He is calling you to do. Do you want to be awakened and live the extraordinary life that God promises you? You have to choose to obey Him. Ephesians 3:20-21 powerfully reveals that God will accomplish infinitely more that we might ask or think because His mighty power is at work within us.

When God calls you, you can keep adding excuses as to why you can’t, or you can give in to the Holy Spirit and say “yes.” How many of you would say that you might have missed some opportunities because you allowed the excuses of life and fear to get the best of you? It is time to stop making excuses and start allowing God to have His way with your plans and your life. To encourage you, God will even put people in your life who have a similar DNA or share a similar assignment.

Of course, whenever you obey God’s calling, expect to fight the lies of the enemy. He knows your weaknesses and where you are vulnerable, so he will do everything to knock you down and make you feel defeated. Many of you have heard the call of God in your life, but the enemy comes and steals it from you. Just as it says in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” 

It’s time to stop making all kinds of excuses. Many of you don’t know what to do with what God tells you, so you just sit on it and say, “God did this or that or said this or that,” but what do we do with it? It is time to be obedient and to rise up to your calling. It is time to speak it into the atmosphere so that you become accountable to live out the extraordinary vision that God gives you.
