The Pound For Pound Principle

DAY 6 OF 14

The Giant in the Ring is Smaller Than You Think

What’s your starting point?

We all have to start somewhere and no one can change their starting point. Not everyone has been given the tools others have. Not everyone is afforded the same opportunities. In the parable of the talents in Matthew, the servants were given talents according to what they were capable. Our “talents” may never be equal, but you will be held accountable for what you did with what you had.

So how do you start making the most of what you have? Vision. There is a shortage of one of the most important and crucial commodities in the world, and that is vision. Most of us will start out with great hopes and high aspirations to do something of significance. When our best-laid plans do not materialize as envisioned, we shrink back and dumb-down our vision to the size of our circumstances. I have seen others who started out desiring to be extraordinary in their pursuits, and for whatever reason, began to convince themselves that they were called to be average.  Don’t compare your starting point to others, and don’t believe for a minute that you are average in anything you do. You have not been called to be ordinary, but extraordinary!
