Remnant: Learning From The Passionate ApostleSample

Remnant: Learning From The Passionate Apostle

DAY 8 OF 10

Peter may have been a slow learner, but he did learn. Once everything Jesus had predicted came to pass, He met up with the disciples at Galilea, and Peter demonstrated true humility in a somewhat undignified attempt to get to Jesus first.

When it comes to having a personal relationship with Jesus, feeling sorry or guilty about your sin isn’t enough. You have to repent of, or turn away from, that sin, accept God’s forgiveness, and obey Him on a daily basis. You have to take intentional steps toward Jesus and away from self to follow Him like God intends, the more passionate your pursuit, the better. When it comes to passion and devotion, look to Peter’s example.

Thank God for receiving you with open arms when you repent and pursue Him.

About this Plan

Remnant: Learning From The Passionate Apostle

To say the apostle Peter was passionate about following Jesus Christ and advancing the Gospel would be an understatement. The man tried to walk on water to get to Jesus, cut a guy’s ear off for trying to arrest Jesus, and allowed himself to be crucified upside down for his faith, but Peter’s journey didn’t happen overnight. Don’t be intimidated by Peter’s headlines. Read his backstory and be encouraged.
