What should our goal be as we live in community with people? To glorify God. All of us live, work and socialize with people who often think and act much differently than we do. But Romans 15 says that even in our differences, we should strive for unity, bear with those who are weak, and live in a way that is not focused on pleasing ourselves. Easy to say and really, really hard to do. In a world that encourages us to elevate self, we have an incredible opportunity to shine God’s light when we choose to DIE to self in order to elevate Christ. Determine your purpose in your interactions with people today - let it be to glorify God in your thoughts, words and actions towards others.
