PRAY // Before Jesus came to Earth, many people worshipped a lot of other gods. Because they had not yet seen or known Jesus, many didn’t fully believe in the God who would one day send Him. But a guy named David did. David believed that God was with him and that He was greater than any other god. Today, though you may not believe in or worship other gods, the truth is, we all have a tendency to idolize or put other things before God in our lives. Things like relationships, hobbies, and even social media can come between God and us. And this happens when we treat those things with greater value and attention than we give Him. Today, ask yourself: Am I putting anything before God right now? Confess that to God and ask Him to help you put Him first.
