Epic (Part 1): The Storyline of the BibleSample
It doesn’t take long for the people to turn their backs on the commitments they made to God. They do so in the worst possible way by worshipping a god they create for themselves. Worshipping actual idols isn’t very common in our culture but worshipping things other than God is. Anytime we value anything above God, we are doing what these people did. We see God as distant or absent and pursue something seemingly more accessible that brings immediate pleasure or security.

About this Plan
This is part one of a four-part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one epic story of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
