Epic (Part 1): The Storyline of the BibleSample
The remainder of the book of Genesis tells of the life of one of Jacob’s youngest sons. Joseph is a young man who lives a life that is pleasing to his father and to God. He makes an unwise choice in this chapter by telling his brothers of his dream but, otherwise, he consistently tries to do the right thing in every situation.
We can understand the anger Joseph’s brothers would have had toward him but can’t justify them selling him into slavery. Life doesn’t always seem to be fair. As we continue reading his story in the coming days, we will see these events as key to God’s plan for Joseph’s life.

About this Plan
This is part one of a four-part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one epic story of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
