Epic (Part 1): The Storyline of the BibleSample
There is a drought but God promises He will provide for Isaac. Isaac has enough faith to stay where he is but not enough to believe God will protect him from those who would want Isaac’s wife. It’s interesting that Isaac repeats the same lie his father Abraham did. God does provide for Isaac’s protection and water needs, and people can tell Isaac is being taken care of by God.
Just like Abraham and Isaac, you probably have faith in God sometimes and sometimes take things in your own hands. When we do have faith in God, it allows those around us to recognize that God is at work.

About this Plan
This is part one of a four-part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one epic story of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
