Continue Meeting, Continue Moving

When God decided to build the Church, He didn't start with brick, stone, or mortar. He started with people.

The Book of Acts describes the beginning of what we now call the Church. From the very start, the church was made up of those that identified themselves with Jesus, and committed themselves to gathering regularly, supporting one another, developing friendships, and motivating each other to continue God's work.

The power of the church grew through the consistency shown by a community of believers.

They met daily, doing simple things like eating together, praying, and hearing the apostles' teachings. In other words, they lived their lives together.

This kind of community is still available today.

As long as we continue to develop relationships with people who know Jesus, we can experience the same power that launched the Church as we know it.

Jesus, Thank You for dying for Your Church. Remind me each week that church is not confined to a building or service time. Instead, open my eyes to see the people who bring Your power to life through the community of believers committed to following You. In Your name, Amen.
