Choosing your attitude starts with choosing your words. It starts with deciding to speak life over death

Speaking life is something that you and I have both heard many times. It is also one of those things that can be easier said than done. When things are going well, speaking the word of God can be easy. When you are going through a rough patch, it can prove to be difficult.

I think that speaking life is an idea that is often misunderstood.

Speaking life is about knowing and verbalizing that things are going to be okay in spite of your circumstances. Speaking life is letting others hear the words of God coming from your mouth. It means that regardless of how I feel, God’s got it. Speaking the word of God is about striving for positivity not just because you read it in a self-help book, but because you know that the Lord prevails in the end. 

Speaking life is important. Not only for yourself, but for those around you. As Christians, we are resilient people. During any mishap or problem, we have inner peace as a result of our faith. Unfortunately, those around you may not. The only way that we can lead others to Jesus Christ is through our decision to tell others about His teachings. When you find an opportunity to share the word of God with others, take it. You never know how much they may need it. 

Sometimes, we have to speak life even when we don’t actually see it. There is power in speaking out in faith. When we speak out in faith, we can see the things that we want actually come to fruition.

If you believe it, you will achieve it. If you call out your purpose, then so shall you reach it. When the going gets tough, I encourage you to continue to speak life, and to remember the plans that the Lord has in store for you.
