The best kind of friend shows up when we need them most. When things don't work out with your crush, when you find out you're getting new step-siblings, when you don’t make the team—that’s when our friends show up to help us get through and feel better. Christmas is a reminder that in the same way our friends show up for us, Jesus showed up for us. He was God's way of showing up right when we needed Him the most. He came to be the friend that loves us all no matter what. And who doesn’t need a friend like that? Today, say a prayer to God, talking to Him just as you would to a friend.
