#MADEFOR: Discovering The Purpose Planted Inside Of YouSample

Aristotle had Plato. Thoreau had Emerson. Luke had Yoda. The most memorable figures in history and fiction alike didn’t discover or fulfill their purposes without a little guidance. 

It’s not uncommon to feel like you have to face the future alone, that you’re the only one who understands your purpose, and that anyone who has the experience to help you typically doesn’t have the time. The reality is that we were never designed to discover our purpose alone. Man wasn’t given his ultimate mission until he had a partner. The greatest men and women of the bible found their purpose when they were pushed (sometimes shoved) by prophets, uncles, fathers, and kings to go beyond what they thought their limits were. 

Proverbs says that the purposes of our heart are like deep waters, but that someone with insight can draw those purposes out like a bucket in a well. Who can you think of—or who comes to your mind that you usually wouldn’t think of—whose wisdom speaks to you? How can you take steps today to submit to, learn from, and grow with them? The insight of another could be the key to discovering your destiny.
