Pray for insight into the mindsets or thought barriers that prevent X from ‘seeing’ their need for God (2 Cor 10:5) 

What blinds people to the truth of the gospel? In his book, How to Pray for Lost Loved Ones, Dutch Sheets writes about three components of these strongholds. (1) Arguments – a person’s philosophy of life, their views and mindset. (2) Pretensions – this implies self-promotion, pride, or an attitude that wants to remain independent of God and ‘in charge’ of one’s own life. (3) Every thought – all that goes on in a person’s mind, often coloured by what they read, watch or access over the internet.
