Freedom for the Captives
Pray for release from anything that unhelpfully dominates X’s life and obscures their path to God (John 8:34)
When Jesus stated ‘the son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many’ (Mark 10:45), he was using the business language of the day where a ransom or ‘price of release’ could be paid for a relative who had sold themselves into slavery. The release Jesus refers to is not from physical imprisonment but from bondage to sin and its effects.

It can be hard to know where to begin when praying for people to know God for themselves, so this 40-day journey guides us in how to pray for our friends and colleagues to become spiritually alive.
