The GreatestSample

HEAR // In ancient Israel, Jesus’ words would have made a lot more sense. People would have understood that shepherds take great care of their sheep. Yet, when He said that He’d “sacrifice his life” for the sheep, He was taking it to another level. You see, Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was for us. He laid down His life so that by believing in Him, we could live. Jesus died because, just like a shepherd cares for his sheep, God cares for us. Today, think about this question: What does it mean to you that Jesus actually laid down His life for you?
