Untouchable: Unraveling The Myth That You're Too Faithful To FallSample
Day 7: Redemption Is Possible
You might be reading this plan and thinking there’s great content, but what if I already messed up? What if I already crossed something off the untouchable list and made an epic fail? And perhaps you’re wondering if a second chance is possible—if redemption is possible.
Well, guess what? Redemption definitely is possible!
You are not too far gone, friend. You have incredible purpose and value, even if you made a mess of things.
I can relate to any doubts you might have to your use in the Kingdom of God. When I had sex outside of marriage and lost almost everything I held dear in life, I thought for sure God was done with me. For a while all I could see was my sin and shame, and from that perspective, complete redemption didn’t seem likely. God had given me incredible opportunities, and I squandered them. Why would He trust me with anything of value again?
Jesus paid the ultimate price when He sacrificed Himself on the cross. He took all your sins upon Himself and died the death of a sinner. Thank goodness He is who He says He is, because He was able to conquer death—something only He could do. And with that victory you are granted access to the Father when you make God your priority.
Jesus paid the price for you. He extends His victory to you. And not just once at salvation but every day! When you’ve messed up, no matter how big, know that there’s a gift waiting to be received by you each and every day. Don’t let it go.
Take in the words of Colossians 1 and allow them to soothe you’re tattered heart and hurting soul.
“God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.”
God is a rescuer of hearts. No matter where those hearts might be hiding. He is captivated by you and wants nothing more than to be in an intimate relationship with you. This is why the Father gave up His Son; why Jesus laid down His life on the cross. So that You could be rescued out of those dead-end alleys and dark dungeons and set up in the Kingdom!
He wants to break the cycle—your cycle of sin and pain. Will you allow Him to? You can start today on a new path. A path worthy of the calling placed on your life, filled with great purpose for the Kingdom.
Confess your sins. Forgive yourself. And take the path of redemption to a life that glorifies God!
