DAY 32 OF 33

Wall of Faith

Julie Martin

Ready:

“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Corinthians 15:58

Set:

That unwavering faith, the steadfast movement in your steps, that immovable wall of strength in your walk with the Lord (even when everyone else thinks you are crazy), and that moment you give the glory to God instead of yourself, that is Faith Strong.

Have you ever stood on the sidelines or sat the bench at a game either because of injury or beat out by another player and wonder, “When am I going to get my chance?” Maybe you wondered why God put you in that position because of how faithful you’ve been. Romans 4:20-24 says to not waver in unbelief, but to let your circumstances strengthen your faith. By doing this, you will bring glory to God and He will consider you righteous.

It’s easy to get caught up in the negative talk that goes on in one’s mind as we sit and wait for God, like “You’re not good enough” or “You’ll never amount to anything.”

What would it look like if instead, by faith, you took the unfortunate and turned it into opportunity? Take where you are and be that “strong and immovable” wall of faith.

Go:

1. What if your circumstances were to bring glory to God and strengthen your faith? How would you look at them differently?

2. Are you convinced that God can do what He promised? What is standing in your way of living in this kind of faith?

3. When living out your faith, what does it mean to be on your guard?

Overtime:

Jesus, strengthen my faith in all my circumstances so that I may bring You glory. Make me a strong and immovable wall of faith so that others will see You. In Jesus name, Amen.

About this Plan

Strong

Athletes are conditioned to be strong both physically and mentally. But as Christian competitors, we have the game-changing advantage of being spiritually strong. With Jesus Christ and His Word transforming us daily, we can be strong 24/7! The FCA Strong Devotional tackles issues that coaches and athletes during competition and in life. This 31-day plan will also help establish a consistent, daily quiet time with God, and includes extra readings and suggested prayer.
