21 Days After Camp

DAY 5 OF 21

Faith in Action

Each one of us encounters difficult times in life that require us to put our faith in action. Two months after graduating from high school, Josiah was in a car accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down. He went from being a high school athlete and an independent young man to someone who became fully dependent on the help of caretakers. Trusting in God, Josiah put his faith in action to follow God’s plan for his life. He is back to being an athlete playing wheelchair rugby and shares his story of overcoming obstacles to students in schools and churches.

How do you walk in Faith when circumstances or situations around you are different than God’s Word?

Putting our faith in action can be very difficult at times. Wrestling with faith, reality, and denial are all real in the life of any believer. How one deals with the situations that living life in this world brings us, will set one on an upward or downward course.

It is much easier to walk out your faith while in the spiritual environment of the camp setting, but once camp is over, there will be those times when your faith is challenged. It is in those times that one can read Hebrews or hear stories of people just like Josiah, and draw strength of those who, by faith, overcame, persevered, and saw God do great and mighty things.
