SEEK THE LORD EARLY

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

The Psalmist David makes this great affirmation: You are MY God. This is a statement of intimacy. Not just a God, but our God, a personal God, a God who means a lot to us.

A God, who has always watched over us, protected us and has always been with us. In our going out and our coming in. In our growing up, He has watched over us, protected us and has always been with us.

Intimacy with God is something that cannot be shaken and only a person who has got that affirmation can make that statement. Nothing else matters. Not wealth, not riches, not our homes, not relationships, it is us. He is OUR God.

When we affirm this daily, in every moment, the things that we see and the experiences we go through will be different. We know that God is love and His will in our lives is always the best. This God who is our God is not only a God who is compassionate and loving, He is all-knowing.

He will direct us taking into account our strengths, our weaknesses, our fears. There is nothing to fear as the God who loves us is all-knowing and powerful. The obstacles that we face in fulfilling His purpose, he will enable us to cross over. This is the kind of relationship that David talks about.

Let us make it very personal. You are My God.

The more we say it, the more it strengthens our relationship with Him. It is not just a statement from our lips, but from our experience from our hearts.

My soul thirsts for Him. Longs for Him. There is a desire and an yearning in us. We will be restless if we do not meet with you, O Lord.

Is there a craving to spend time alone with God? Is there a longing to start the day with Him? Early shall we seek Him. It is a great practice to follow.

Seek Him even before you start anything else for the day. Spend time alone with Him.

Let this be our experience. Keep affirming He is OUR God.

Let this be our desire. Early we will seek, long for, and crave for Him.

Let us practice and profess an intimate walk with the Lord.
