LIVE // Mercy simply means that when we have every right to hurt someone, we choose to show compassion or forgiveness instead. And that’s exactly what God did for us. When we deserved judgment for our sins and mistakes, God decided to show us love and forgiveness instead. And as followers of Jesus, we not only get to receive God’s mercy every day, we also get to show mercy to others. And why would we do this? To give them a glimpse into who God is and what He’s like. After all, that’s what Jesus did! Is there someone in your life in need of your mercy today? How can you reach out to them in a merciful way?

About this Plan
As followers of Jesus, we’re part of a movement that began thousands of years ago—a movement that’s still alive today! It’s called the church. In this reading plan, we’ll explore exactly how the early church began this movement. As we do, we’ll discover that, like them, we can move forward further and faster when we’re following Jesus together.
