Soul Prosperity

DAY 3 OF 5

I believe that the reason our souls are so broken is because we’ve turned our focus outward instead of upward, literally. We look to social media to sustain us, spending hours comparing our lives to people that we will never meet who are comparing themselves to people they’ll never meet, so on and so forth. We end up putting our lives up against the lives of strangers, putting yourself down for not meeting standards that they themselves can’t meet. Stop it.

As believers, we don’t take our ques from anyone else but the Father. Can you imagine if an Army platoon started taking orders from any random person that came into camp? Furthermore, a person not skilled in any of said army’s rules and regulations? It’d be chaos! We have a commander and chief that sits high and looks low. We don’t get entangled with the daily goings on of this world. This is not to say that we shouldn’t be aware of what’s going in our communities. However, we are called to be salt and light and we can’t do so suffering the same soul sickness as the rest of the world.

So, the question is, what situations and/or circumstances have you let darken your soul?

About this Plan

Soul Prosperity

There are literally hundreds of scriptures on the soul. However, there’s no clear explanation between it, our God given spirit and the importance of keeping it "healthy". This devotional aims to show how important it is to keep our souls nourished so that we may fulfill the will of God for our lives
