Passionate: Finding Purpose In Your PassionSample
You can find some of the most inspirational stories of passion directly in The Bible. All of the truly great individuals discussed were passionate about whatever it was that God had instilled within their heart. Despite their circumstances, they were passionate about the tasks that the Lord had given to them, and as such, they found success.
One such individual that comes to mind when I think about passion would be Moses. Moses was famously tasked with leading the Exodus of the Israelite's from Egypt. For an amazing 40 years, Moses wandered through the desert in search of the Promised Land. Although he did not make it to the Promised Land himself, he displayed great passion, perseverance, and patience in leading the Israelite's to a better life.
This was not an easy task. After time, the Israelite's grew impatient and ungrateful. They often complained about Moses’ leadership, and questioned their decision to leave Egypt. Still, Moses pressed on.
If Moses did not have the passion to help the Israelite's, he could not have persevered for this length of time. It simply would not have been possible. Although Moses had his own setbacks, I view Moses as an individual who was passionate about his plan, who set out to accomplish something greater than himself, and who managed to do just that.
Yet another passionate individual would be Noah, who worked for an astounding 55 years on the ark. He was passionate and, when tasked with a project, he accomplished it. What could possibly keep someone motivated for five decades?
Passion.
Job, David, Daniel, Paul, Abraham, all passionate about the Lord. All willing to do anything necessary to follow their passion.
Passion will take you from the lowest valley to the highest mountain. A passionate individual with the ability to change the world will surely do so. If you have yet to find something that you are truly passionate about, I implore you to find it.
When you find your passion you will unlock your potential, and set out to become the person that God wanted you to become.
What are some other incidents in The Bible in which you feel that passion was on display? What is God leading you to do with your passion?
