DAY 2: How to Understand Temptation

Temptation plays a huge role in your deliverance process and is a true test of your ability to maintain deliverance. It is the prerequisite of your process. It cannot be skipped, overlooked, altered, reversed, or ignored. I absolutely was tempted after the altar. And the temptation doesn’t end—it increases or decreases based on my response.

Temptation presents itself to you at the threshold of every new season of your life. The representative of temptation comes in a form that has the capacity to meet your needs, wants, and desires. Temptation awaits a response from you, seeking whether you will give in or defeat it.

You must develop strategies to overcome temptation. It is not a matter of if you will be tempted—it is how you will be tempted. There are seasons when the Holy Spirit will lead you into the wilderness to be tempted, and there are times when the devil roams like a lion seeking whom he can devour. Jesus was tempted by the enemy, yet He overcame temptation on every level by using specific strategies to combat Satan’s schemes. Once you understand his patterns, plots, and plans, you will have an upper hand against the enemy.
