Day 6 - Turn My Eyes (Part 1)

I know who to run to

Every time the rain comes pouring down

I know who to turn to

I know where to find that solid ground

I turn my eyes on Jesus

There are so many things in life trying to take our attention whether it be our phones, our image, or our problems. It’s easy to be distracted and to lose sight of what really matters. We might become overwhelmed and look to things that the world says will satisfy us, but none of it does. We need to remember to go to the Lord in prayer with EVERYTHING. When we refocus on the Lord, all those things fade away and we’re reminded of where our hope comes from. 

Instead of stressing about what is happening around us, we can turn our eyes on Jesus and He gives us peace and strength to overcome. You might think “that seems too simple,” but all of us in Bonray have personal stories of when we gave our worries over to the Lord and He gave a peace that was like nothing on this earth. Turning our eyes on Jesus will keep our heart and minds focused on the truth and hope only He can give.

Dear Lord, 

I promise to turn my eyes to you and give over every worry that clouds up my mind. I thank you for the peace and strength that only you can give.
