Seize The DaySample
To seize the day, you must own the day.
The first step toward owning our day is to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.
Your day is your responsibility. My day is my responsibility. What we each do with our day is up to us. At the end of your day, you cannot look at your husband, your wife, your kids, your parents, your teacher, or your friends and say, “Why did I waste my day?” The day is yours. Take responsibility for yourself.
You are not a victim. Many of your life circumstances may have been difficult. Times may be hard. Sometimes, you do not have control over those circumstances, yet you must master them, or you will spend your whole life being controlled by your past experiences.
Now, sometimes you find yourself in hard times and difficult circumstances, and when you take a good look, you know it’s your own choices that put you there. Many times, this is the case. Did you make the decision that landed you where you are today? Perhaps you did. Take responsibility for that decision and move forward.
If you want to be successful, the first thing you have to do is fully realize that you are the one, and the only one, responsible for yourself. You choose. Remember - your choices will make or break you.
Do you want to have a successful day? Start by making the choice to look for the good. Choose to think of how to win instead of reasons you could lose. Choose to focus on greatness. The easiest thing to do is to look for what is wrong. That’s the lazy way.
Instead, choose to be great. It IS your choice – own it.
