No Longer Living In FearSample
Are you going to let fear guide your choices?
I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “anger is a bad counselor”...but did you know that the same could be said of fear?
In the Bible in Matthew 25:14-30, you can read a parable Jesus told about a man who traveled to a far country and entrusted the management of his goods to his servants. When he returned, all of his servants had traded and gained more talents than they’d originally been given...except for one! He said to his master, “‘I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground...’” (Matthew 25:25) This servant is called wicked and lazy and is thrown out…
In the parable, the servant’s decision is a direct consequence of his fear. When we act out of fear, we don’t make good decisions. We don’t pray and we don’t think because fear is telling us what to do. It becomes our source, the reality by which we make our decisions.
I believe that as a child of God, it is crucial that fear never dictate your behavior. Before making a decision, take the time to seek the Lord. Release your fear to Him and ask for His counsel. Ask Him to clearly show you what to do and which decision to make!
I tell you this often...the right choice, the best of choices, is always the Lord! It is choosing to live in full agreement with His will and His truth, always. Today, I encourage you to no longer make decisions based on fear, but to place your hand in His and your steps in His footprints.
May you receive real revelation from the Lord about your freedom from fear. Be strong and courageous, my friend! Don’t be afraid! Jesus is with you!
Thanks for existing!
