Often, when someone gets a new job, they sign a pice of paper called a contract. It tells them what they have to do. When they sign it, they agree to do it.
It was a bit like that with God and his people.
Read Exodus chapter 19 verses 7 and 8 if you haven’t already done so, and see if you can find these three things that God asked his people to do:
· Obey me
· Be my chosen people
· Serve me
God’s people agreed that they would do those three things.
What about you? Have you promised that you will obey God, be one of his people and serve him? Would you like to? You can make that promise to God now if you want.
Pray. Ask God to help you, as one of his people, to obey and serve Him.
