Determined To Follow JesusSample

Persistence, determination, resilience, courage, and faith are important features to live and display when following Jesus Christ. There will be times in the believer’s life when situations appear hopeless and final but our determinant faith in Jesus Christ should overrule what we see or hear. The distractions of life will seek to take hostage one’s mind causing conflicting emotions and if these emotions are not immediately checked and demolished they will influence our minds to think defeat and our mouths to voice death. 

No matter what our situations look like it is important to follow Jesus Christ and have faith in the one who is faithful. Similar to the Syrophoenician woman, although she was identified by her nationality she was determined to follow Jesus despite the thoughts of others. This woman had a mission she remained persistent, determined, resilient, courageous, and faithful in following Jesus until she received the breakthrough not only in her life but in the life of her loved one. 

This woman was determined to follow Jesus even when the response wasn’t quite what one initially expects, but her faith in God believed in the saving, delivering power of Jesus Christ. Jesus saw her determination, humility, and faith and answered her prayer. What a testimony! 

In the midst of what appears to be the opposite response of what you thought God would tell you as you sought him, did you stay determined to follow him?

Are you determined to follow Jesus when the world tells you no, but you know Jesus said yes? 

Are you determined to follow Jesus when the breakthrough you seek is not primarily for you but for a loved one? 

Are you determined to follow Jesus when others count you out, and you know without a doubt God counts you IN and you are destined to WIN? 

Are you determined to follow Jesus and continue pursuing him when you don’t feel anything? 

Are you determined to follow Jesus when you make up in your mind to never cease praying/communicating with him until you receive the response? 

Are you determined to follow Jesus until you see the promises of His word spring forth into fruition in your life? 

Be determined to follow Jesus despite your nationality and differences. Follow Jesus and expect a supernatural breakthrough and miracle.
