Be Refreshed: Devotions For Women In The WorkplaceExemplo
In Love
Being successful in the workplace requires that we use our strengths and abilities to do work we are passionate about and to which God leads us. I call this the “can do,” the “want to,” and “ the led to” of our lives. I’ve found this combination to be a good formula for making career decisions.
One of my natural strengths has always been “speaking the truth,” which requires both critical thinking skills as well as the courage and boldness to speak up in difficult situations. The “in love” part was, unfortunately, not one of my natural strengths! It often resulted in the painful process of failing, praying, changing, and learning as I grew up in Christ.
As Christians we are called to “speak the truth in love” as we grow and build others up through our work. Which part of “speaking the truth in love” comes most naturally to you, and which part do you need to ask for God’s help with as you do your work?
