Margin

Dia 5 de 15

The key to living with margin is: you have to schedule it. Margin doesn’t just happen. Your schedule won’t automatically open up so you can have times of rest and restoration. Ephesians 5 tells us to be careful how we live. Paul encourages us to be wise and not be foolish. Scheduling margin is a foundation to living wisely. So how do you schedule wisely? You do it by saying no to many good things, to say yes to the best things.

Chances are that your busyness is not the result of you doing a lot of bad things, but rather too many good things. Too many good things can quickly become the enemy of the best things. For some, it can be difficult to say no, but in order to live a life with margin, no must become a regular part of your vocabulary. You don’t have to say no to everything, but take time to look at your schedule and see what good things are distracting you from the very best that God has created you for.

It’s all up to you. If you’re serious about scheduling margin, then it’s time to see what you need to say no to immediately. What’s one thing you can say no to that you believe will allow you to say yes to God’s best?

Sobre este plano

Margin

Sometimes it seems like the only way to keep up with all the demands on our lives is to run at maximum capacity—and then some. But there is another way, one where we have room to breathe and space to respond to what God brings our way. This reading plan features a variety of devotional readings, video teaching from Craig Groeschel, and videos of everyday people living with margin in their lives.
