Divine EncouragementExemplo
Ever mindful
“The Lord has remembered us; He will bless us” (Psalm 115:12)
I can wholeheartedly affirm that opening statement. Can't you? Yes, the Lord has remembered us, provided for us, comforted us, rescued us, and guided us. Throughout His providential dealings, He has never overlooked even our smallest concerns. His thoughts have always included us—another way of saying He has remembered us. This has been true consistently, without interruption. There may have been times when His care for us has been especially evident. Let's remember these moments now with overflowing gratitude. Indeed, “the Lord has remembered us.”
The subsequent statement logically follows from the previous one. Because God is unchanging, His future mindfulness toward us will mirror His past actions and His care for us is synonymous with blessing. But this isn't just a reasoned deduction; it's a declaration backed by divine authority—we have it on the authority of the Holy Spirit: “He will bless us.” This holds profound and unfathomable implications. The vagueness of the promise speaks to its boundless scope. He will bless us according to His divine nature, and this blessing will endure forever. Therefore, let each of us declare, “Bless the Lord, O my soul!”
