Lift OffExemplo
At the end of every week, we'll give you a challenge—something to try that might be outside your regular routine. Each challenge is designed to help you develop one important spiritual habit. This week, it's...
USE YOUR GIFTS
God has given all of us unique gifts. Whether it's your skills, talents, character traits, experiences, lessons learned, or even some of the stuff you own, you have a lot you can share with others. Today's challenge is going to help you think about the gifts God has uniquely given you, and how you can use those gifts to love God and others. Because when we use our gifts for God, we grow!
CHALLENGE
Because of what has been done for us, we can now use our gifts to serve others. This week, plan a service project or do something to help others. Remember, we grow when we use the gifts God gave us.
Here are some ideas for finding a service project that fits your gifts...
- JOIN SOMETHING ALREADY HAPPENING: Many nonprofits and organizations do awesome things to serve others. Find one that uses your gifts, and sign up to help with an event or project.
- ASK ABOUT A SPECIFIC NEED: There are people in your neighborhood and community who need your help, and many of them you already know! Ask your parents, school principal, or pastor if they know someone you could offer to help.
- GIVE IT A TRY: Signing up to volunteer on a regular basis can be overwhelming. Ask an organization or class if you can come one time to see what it's like before deciding if that particular service project is right for you.
