THE FATHER’S BEST FOR YOUR BEST

After you have received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, the next action plan is for you to submit to whatever God’s will for you may be. Most Christians know the prayer of faith but not the prayer of commitment. When you say, “Lord, if it is Your will…”, what you are saying is, “I don’t know Your will, but I will do it when I know it.” The only will of God that I have not done is the one I was not aware of, and not everything I have done in the will of God has been exciting and enjoyable. However, you have to decide to surrender your will to God’s, just as Jesus had to do in the Garden of Gethsemane.

The Lord Jesus said the true mark of a disciple is that he takes up his cross and follows Him daily (Luk. 9:23). It is a daily choice, but the daily choice comes from the foundation that you have laid. When the Lord came to me and said, “Son, My will for you is to serve Me full-time”, I was in my second year at the university studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering. God had been dealing with me on this from when I was in high school, but when He came again during my university days, He said, “Now or else!” It was rough at the beginning, but I was exactly where God wanted me to be.

What is the will of God for you? The destination is indeed glorious, but there is a road you will have to walk. There is nothing that God cannot give you, but are you going to give Him what He is asking from you?

PRAYER: Father, I receive the grace to give to You, everything You ask of me, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
