Just Don't Give Up! - Part 4: His CovenantExemplo
Gates Of Miracles
“After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.” – Isaiah 53:11
Jesus' death on the cross is not just a story to tell. It is the most significant event in human history. Because of His crucifixion, all our needs are satisfied. Knowing what the Lord has done for us through the cross convicts us to walk in His victory. He has become the atoning sacrifice for our sin, Provider, and Giver of all things.
When we need forgiveness, Jesus demonstrated forgiveness on the cross. Because He first loved us, we are able to forgive others. For us who need salvation, Jesus offered eternal life; For us who need love, Jesus demonstrated love and filled our hearts so we could love others. When we need victory, Jesus has shared His victory with us. When He said “It is finished”, His victory prevails yesterday, today, and forever. When we need refuge, Jesus committed His spirit into the Father’s hand, and the same hand is holding our hands today.
When Jesus was on earth, He showed the world a new way of life – to love, serve and give. The people refused Jesus and chose to release a murderer. Jesus was severely scourged, not only to bear every sickness but also to heal every disease (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus’ suffering is the beginning of light in our lives, for there is no disease that He cannot heal.
I stared blankly at the chemotherapy medicine that the nurse was preparing for me. It would be injected through the IV line for the next four days to target and kill the fast-growing cells in my body. When the medicine flowed into my veins, I was reminded of Jesus’ blood.
This truth became my source of hope, and I hope it could be yours too. Jesus is still the same today. His nature remains. He still loves, serves, and gives. When I was afraid of my cancer, I remembered the stripes of Jesus. I recalled the divine healing that came through His blood. When my future seemed so bleak, I set my eyes on the Cross. I chose to focus on His authority above every disease. With that, I know that healing is mine.
If you are in a similar situation and perhaps, faced with oppression, let us look upon the Cross. Jesus had taken our mental torment when the crown of thorns was placed on His head. Jesus had taken our broken hearts when the soldiers pierced His side. The Cross is the answer. Jesus is all we need.
Jesus’ crucifixion is the gate to miracles.
