[Ruth] Realizing the Covenant RelationshipExemplo
Your Redeemer
The book of Ruth is really important. Why? It has genealogical importance since it shows the genealogy of Obed to David, the ancestor of our Savior Jesus Christ. It has Christological importance since the kinsman redeemer correlates to Christ, our Kinsman Redeemer. It has covenantal importance. It is also essential on a personal level.
The book of Ruth is a book about returning to God. In this book, we see the blessings of being one who returns to God. God's loyal love is displayed throughout the book of Ruth. Moreover, it is a book about refuge and hope. Ruth takes refuge in God and His covenant and hopes for a better future.
We see people of virtue, strong and courageous, who show us that character matters. That obedience brings about abundant blessings from God. Grace was poured out on its protagonists, and it is also poured out on us, over and over again. Boaz was a redeemer to Ruth and Naomi; Christ, who is God, was a Redeemer to Boaz, Ruth, and Naomi, and you and me.
The Redeemer is the one who redeems and restores it all!
