[Life of David] Dying Done: Bucket List CheckedExemplo
Faithful To God
The greatest thing we could have on our bucket list is fulfilling the purposes of God. That fulfillment is not about fame or fortune but about being faithful to God. This is what makes a great person. Today, life revolves around fame and fortune. There are a lot of famous and wealthy people who are not fulfilling the purposes of God in their lives. Many live their lives in a way that goes completely against God’s will.
Many of us who have been walking with the Lord have often asked, “How do I find God’s purposes for my life?” Have you ever asked that question? The answer is simple and profound. We need to be faithful to God and God’s purpose will find us. We should not constantly worry about finding it. By walking with God and being faithful to Him, we will find that purpose, and that purpose will find us.
King David went through many problems in his life. He had a tough beginning and some tough times in the middle, but his ending was strong because of his faithfulness to God. David was a man after God’s own heart. He was committed to following the ways of the Lord. When we read about David’s last days on Earth, we see that he died at a good old age, with fullness of days, riches, and honor. His son Solomon became king in his place.
David died at an old age. Nevertheless, we can fulfill God’s purposes for our lives in our generation and still die at a young age. God’s purposes can be fulfilled at any age, at any place, by all of us. Fulfilling them is all about our faithfulness to God.
Is being faithful to God a big checkmark on your bucket list? Is fulfilling his purposes for your life a checkmark on your list? I hope that it is. There is nothing better than living our lives for God, knowing we have been faithful to Him, serving our generation!
Sobre este plano
The bucket list that satisfies the heart is fulfilling the purposes of God. As we fall in love with Him, seek to know Him, and remain faithful to Him, His purposes will find us. From that space, we can die “done” with a bucket list checked off and a life fulfilled.
