Chosen to Be a Miracle!Exemplo
I have blessed you!
Here is Matthew’s story…
The different experiences I've had with Jesus since He called me to follow Him have been astonishing. I've seen Him heal the sick, free people tormented by demons, and perform miracles...but what has always touched me most about Jesus is His way of speaking and expressing love to others.
His gentleness of manner and ability to connect with people both individually and in groups are extraordinary, as is His teaching authority. So when Jesus called me to take part in the sermon He was preparing, I considered it a great privilege. I was able to transcribe the sections of the sermon He was preparing and share my thoughts with Him about it.
I loved the way He was going to begin this very special sermon: "Blessed..." What better way to begin a sermon than by talking about the blessings God has in store for us?
Generally, these kinds of blessings are granted to the powerful, kings, and rulers—indeed, they’re considered worthy. But Jesus had another kind of people in mind: He gives His blessings to those who are aware of their spiritual poverty, to those who suffer for the sake of His Kingdom, to the meek, to those who seek God's justice, to those who have mercy, to those who have clean hearts, to those who long for peace and walk in it...(Matthew 5:1-12, NKJV).
Yes, His Kingdom is not of this world, and it breaks all of our systems. That's why He, the King, the Messiah, came to this world in the humblest way possible and seeks that real, heart-to-heart connection with people. He transforms the lives of those who choose to put their pride aside and come to Him when He calls them.
That's what happened to me and so many others like me. Jesus chose me not because I deserved it but because of His love for me. He was able to see the treasures in my life that were hidden under my sins and imperfections. I can never thank Him enough for that!
I, for one, have given my whole life to Him. I have decided to follow Christ, the Messiah, and there is no turning back.
My name is Matthew, and I have been chosen and blessed by Jesus.
