Walk Through The Bible 365 - JulyExemplo
Bring the Presence of God Back to Where We Are
The ark of the covenant contained the Ten Commandments. But the ark also served as a throne for God and represented the presence of God. During Saul's reign, the ark had been captured and kept by Kirjath Jearim's people. David wanted to bring back the presence of God to the city, Jerusalem. It was David's kingdom but he wanted it to become the dwelling place of God. Let us also live out a Christian's life, which brings the presence of Jesus back in our lives, into our marriage and family, and into our works or ministry, so that we can attract people to the gospel.
Prayer: Father Lord, help us to live in such a way that we are a credit to the Message of Christ. Our conduct must be the same whether we are in church or in the office or the home. Holy Spirit, we pray you help us to stand united, singular in vision, contending for people's trust in the Good News. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
