Dare To BeExemplo
I dare you. Such challenges seem to appear more frequently when we are young, as part of our regular interactions with friends. As we get older, these conversations become less common; we become too mature to entertain something that seems so childish. But, what if discarding the I dare you moments means we are keeping our potential hidden away? Perhaps the very thing we thought to be immature is what we need for our life to mature
What if the best chapter of your life is yet to be written? What if the place where you have lived for so long was never meant to contain you, but to be a springboard that would increase and enlarge your life? What if you have yet to discover the greatest relationships, the most beautiful spaces, and the most exciting places where the vision becomes more vibrant and your story becomes more expansive?
Consider what God has set out for us:
By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise (Romans 5:1 2 msg).
What wide open space is waiting for you? Where do your walls need to come down so creativity can flourish? Don’t allow fear to write your future or lack to limit your language. God is with you, friend, and He has already gone before you. Perhaps your first dare is to commit afresh to the adventure of following Him and trusting His plan over your own plan.
You were not born to live an ordinary life. You were considered so valuable, you are so loved, that God sent His only Son for you, to die for you so that you could truly live. You are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1), and this is your turn, your time to dare to be all He has called you to be.
Take courage, friend, and together let’s embrace the adventure that so often begins with “I dare you.”
