Break Every ChainExemplo
Say Goodbye to Guilt and Condemnation
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
—Galatians 5:1 (NIV)
Guilt and condemnation are among the worst things you can allow to control your life. Guilt and condemnation stems from feelings of unworthiness, embarrassment, low self-esteem, and inferiority, and it is the root of countless diseases and unhappiness.
Guilt and condemnation are terrible demons, and you have to be delivered from them. First John 1:9 promises that “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
The Holy Spirit convicts us, but guilt and condemnation are tools the enemy uses to torment believers. If you harbor feelings of guilt, shame, regret, or worthlessness, you need to get delivered. Ask God to forgive you, and ask the people you may have hurt to forgive you.
But the most important thing you need to do to experience complete victory in this area is to forgive yourself. For many people, this is the hardest thing to do. They can believe God forgives them and that other people forgive them, but they can’t forgive themselves. This is the point where you take on the righteousness of Christ by faith and by a decision first, confessing it daily if you have to, until it you truly accept it.
The Bible says, “I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 1:2, NAS). Your soul is your mind, will, and emotions. If your soul is not healthy and you are overcome with hurt, shame, guilt, fear, and rejection, your body will eventually be affected. It doesn’t always happen overnight. The longer you carry these things, the more damage they do.
Focus on these prayers against your guilt and condemnation:
- I rebuke and cast out all spirits of guilt, shame, and condemnation through the blood of Jesus.
- I bind and cast out all spirits of unworthiness in the name of Jesus.
- I loose myself from all things rooted in rejection, self-hatred, inheritance, and guilt, and I cast these spirits to come out in the name of Jesus.
Forgive me, Lord, for allowing any fear, guilt, self-rejection, self-hatred, unforgiveness, bitterness, sin, pride, or rebellion to open the door to any sickness or infirmity. I renounce these things in the name of Jesus.
