Getting Ready-21 Days of PrayerExemplo

Reflecting on 2020 and what it has taught the Church at large, is that we are not in control. Proverbs 16:9 says , “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” There have been, and I know will continue to be  many times in my life that I attempt to create my own steps, and create my own path. This year has created quite the picture for how out of control I truly am. 

Time and time again we make our own plans, only for the Lord to reveal something so much bigger, something that will inevitably bring Him more glory. Regardless of our work or striving, we can rest in God's sovereignty. I know the thought of lacking control can be overwhelming, but the Lord is so kind that He establishes our steps. God can see the whole picture and knows just how to place us to be a light for His kingdom regardless of the circumstances. 

Challenge- Today think of ways the Lord has provided for you, things He has taken  away but replaced with something so much greater. 

Prayer Prompt- Today ask God to help remind you of his faithfulness and provision. I encourage you to ask him to continue to make your steps straight.
