Good Morning: A Minimal DevotionalExemplo
Hope
Good morning.
I feel this prophetically: “Hold fast to His Word. He is faithful and true” (Revelation 19:11). “If He said it, so be it” (Jeremiah 1:12). “He’s not a man that He should lie” (Numbers 23:19).
When my wife and I went through a miscarriage, the pain came like an armed thief to rob us of our hope. You may have been through much hardship as well. Even if we’re full of faith, there’s always a moment in the midst of trial where we all get to decide if we’ll stand on what we know or if we will succumb to the worry of “what if...?”
Unfortunately, there are many who don’t know the solid ground. My point is that there is a hope deficit. The world greatly suffers from this. There are so many worries and wonders, and people are suffocating because of it, having nothing sure to stand on. Worse than any pandemic or natural disaster, it’s a greater travesty to live and die with no hope. Hope says, “God’s got me forever.” My prayer is that when people meet those who believe in Jesus, they meet hope. If I may, we are hope dealers.
Who’s one person that you’ll encourage this week who might not know Jesus?
