StressExemplo
Practice
As we saw yesterday, stress occurs at various stages in our lives, and for various reasons. One way to ease its ferocity is not to anticipate problems, but to find organization in the professional, personal, and financial aspects of our life. Surprises might come at any point. Worrying will not fix future issues, and it often will only make us even more tense for when the crucial moment arrives. Jesus had already warned us about this: "do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day suffices its own evil." (Matthew 6:34).
Don't spend all of your time focusing on the negative things going on in the world. It is true that we need to be well informed, but we must run away from fake news and sordid details. Instead, use this time to read good books, look for good events, and good conversations, especially before bed. If we engage in tragedy, our dreams, which are reflections of what we do, see, and hear, will be tragic, our sleep will be impaired, and our routine the next day will be tiring and stressful.
Surround yourself with affection, friendly people, and good conversations. Learn to observe the best in life and in people. If possible, stay away from those who are vengeful, pessimistic, and violent. Take time each day to send messages to your friends, and show affection to those who you love. When you're with people, move away from your phone and stop browsing virtual realities. Lastly, if possible, don't take work home. Your mind needs rest.
These were some practical tips to combat stress. What do you think needs to change in your life?
