The Domino EffectExemplo
Have you ever looked at someone’s life and thought to yourself, “How did they end up that way?” Sometimes it does not make much sense at all at the direction some take their lives. I am a sports fanatic! Anything with a ball and some competition and I am in! I enjoy watching sports on television as well. If you watch enough sports, you will see a common theme among athletes. Many athletes grew up in an environment that did not help them at all. Drew Brees was told he was too short to be a quarterback. He is going to be a Hall of Famer. Tim Lincecome was told he would never be good enough to be a pitcher. And then he became dominant. Even Craig Kimbrel was told he would never make it, and now he is considered one of the best closers in Major League Baseball. Even I was raised in an environment to fail. My family struggled with drug addictions and infidelity, brokenness, abandonment and selfishness. I was even an “accident” baby. And then I became a pastor. These situations are not just coincidences or accidents. All throughout the Bible we see God choose unlikely candidates to carry out his ultimate plan.
Some of us think we are so unworthy of the love of God. We can accept God’s love, but have no confidence in God wanting to use us to accomplish his great plan. You may think you are not smart enough, athletic enough, pretty enough, or popular enough. Maybe you cannot forgive yourself of past sins you have committed. Look at Paul. He became excited and passionate about persecuting people. Bullying people made him smile. God was able to take someone like Saul and turn his life upside down.
