A Prayer for Restoration

Dear God,

You are a restorer of life. (Ruth 4:15) Restore the lives that have been victimized in the atrocity of sex trafficking. They have seen many troubles and calamities. Revive them again; from the depths of the earth, bring them up again. Increase their greatness and comfort them again. (Ps. 71:20-21) I pray over every area of shame associated with the abuse they’ve experienced. Cleanse them with hyssop, and they shall be clean; wash them, and they shall be whiter than snow. (Ps. 51:7)

Make them lie down in green pastures. Lead them beside still waters. Restore their soul. Lead them in paths of righteousness for your name’s sake. (Ps. 23) Redeem their life from the pit, crown them with steadfast love and mercy, and satisfy them with good so that their youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Ps. 103:1-5)

Through your Word, you have revealed yourself to be the God who does all of these things. I thank you for your work of restoration in these precious lives. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
