So Be Itਨਮੂਨਾ

Here's a famous "I am" statement from Jesus. He calls himself the good shepherd and refers to those under his care as sheep. Let's face it; sheep are dumb animals. It's no major compliment to be compared to them. They fall off of cliffs, sometimes starve, and are attacked by predators just by following each other around without a leader, seriously. It's not that they’re dumb on their own. It’s just that their herd instinct often overrides their personal intelligence. People are very similar. A person is usually smart. But a crowd of people usually does dumb things unless a very skilled person or group is taking charge. Jesus calls himself our shepherd, because he knows that, without Him, we're lost. But we can only follow him if we recognize his voice (John 10.4). If you have trouble discerning His voice, ask Him to reveal it to you in your heart and keep diving into His Word. Look for those little opportunities to listen to Jesus' voice throughout the day!
Jesus, you are the good shepherd. Thank you for laying down your life for me. I surrender my life to your leadership today. Speak to me and open my ears to hear your voice. So Be It.
