Grief Bites: A New Approach to Growing Through Grief

DAY 53 OF 60

When I was a little girl, I remember going to the cemetery to visit my dad's grave. At the cemetery, a few feet away from my dad's grave, was a statue of Jesus where He was bending down. I loved to go sit on Jesus' lap and talk to Him. There was just a safe feeling as I sat there and talked about my heartache and life.

Psalm 116:1-2 reminds me of the times I talked to Jesus at the cemetery.
I love how this special verse shows a loving God who willingly bends down to listen to a heart's cry for comfort, mercy, strength, and grace. God is so compassionate to every heart that is hurting.

If your heart is hurting today, I pray you'll go to God today.
He's bending down, with open arms, and waiting with a heart full of love and mercy just for you.

As you experience God throughout your grief experience, I pray you will find a deep loyalty towards Him and will seek to love and pray to Him more and more.
